About me
I fell in love with Hip Hop in the mid-80's, aged 10, when I first heard Grandmaster Flash, LL Cool J, Run–D.M.C, the Fat Boys, and later the Beastie Boys and Public Enemy.My passion was renewed in the early 90's by N.W.A, Cypress Hill and Snoop Dogg, and again in the late 90's with Wu Tang and DMX, but I started getting disillusioned with US rap around the time of Eminem, Jay-Z and 50 Cent.
After a couple of years in the wilderness listening to Dub, Drum 'n' Bass, Trip Hop and Radiohead, I stumbled on Task Force, Skinnyman, Braintax and Jehst, and fell back in love with UK Hip Hop.
Currently my favourites include Skuff, Dirty Diggers, Rodney P, Kyza, Mystro, Skrein, Genesis Elijah and Jam Baxter.
